Leading IT Companies Unite to Build Ukraine's AI Ecosystem: Key Outcomes of the First Strategic Session

The first strategic session focused on regulation, education, and integrating AI into key sectors of the economy.

On July 1, the inaugural strategic session of the AI Committee of the IT Ukraine Association took place — a new expert platform bringing together industry leaders to foster the development of artificial intelligence in Ukraine. Among the participants were more than 15 representatives of leading companies, including AgriChain, KNESS, UCLOUD, GigaCloud, N-iX, Sigma Software, IT-Enterprise, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group, and FAVBET Tech, which also co-initiated the AI Committee.

During the session, participants worked on several key topics: Government relations and legal regulation — discussing legislative barriers and AI standards; Education and talent development — exploring ways to cultivate AI expertise in Ukraine; Another key focus was the integration of AI into priority areas of the IT industry — analyzing how artificial intelligence is transforming adjacent economic sectors, unlocking new business opportunities, and stimulating innovation.

“The AI Committee is both an expert platform and a tool for shaping policy and advancing the technological landscape of the country,” noted Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association.

Artem Skrypnyk, CEO of FAVBET Tech and one of the initiators of the AI Committee, added: “The goal of the Committee is to rethink the industry's development approach and create conditions for building a competitive AI ecosystem in Ukraine. The first strategic session marked the starting point of this journey.”

The Association noted that such sessions will be held regularly and will involve even more companies. In addition to the AI Committee, IT Ukraine currently operates four other industry-focused committees: EdTech, FinTech, CyberTech, and AgriTech. FAVBET Tech joined the IT Ukraine Association in the summer of 2022 and has since been a consistent partner of its industry initiatives and events.
